Twenty-four bytes, and further commands in the same line are built in the frames below it, NEXT_FRAME and down. Offset 0 is the verb, and bit 7 of its second byte marks a command with ALL; offset 2 an adverb or direction; offsets 4 and 14 two noun phrases of ten bytes each -- two prepositions, the noun, and two adjectives. Every word is stored as a two-byte reference, low byte first, articles are dropped altogether.
Watched rather than taken on trust. PUT THE SMALL CURIOUS KEY IN THE WOODEN CHEST leaves PUT, then KEY with SMALL and CURIOUS, then IN with CHEST and WOODEN. VICIOUSLY ATTACK THE TROLL WITH THE SWORD leaves ATTACK and VICIOUSLY, TROLL, and WITH and SWORD. And the first noun phrase of the first is byte for byte bytes 8 to 13 of the key's own object record: a noun phrase is written in exactly the form objects are named in, so finding what the player means is a straight comparison.
